  • Army Corps and Maryland Port Administration to hold virtual public meeting on Seagirt Loop Channel Deepening

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District (USACE), in coordination with the Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Port Administration (MDOT MPA), is holding a public meeting Feb. 24 from 6 – 8 p.m. to provide information on the Seagirt Loop Channel Deepening Feasibility Study draft Integrated Feasibility Report and Environmental Assessment (EA) and to solicit input.
  • Army Corps, State to host public meeting on Ocean City Inlet projects

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District (USACE), in coordination with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and Worcester County, is hosting a hybrid public meeting Aug. 17, 2021, at the Worcester County Library – Berlin Branch at 13 Harrison Ave., from 7 – 8:30 p.m. This public meeting provides an opportunity to discuss two concurrent efforts: a navigation improvement project to address sediment accumulation in the Ocean City Inlet and a study on the scour hole near Homer Gudelsky Park.
  • Public Comment Period Opens for SM-1A Draft Environmental Assessment and Draft Finding of No Significant Impact

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Baltimore District, has released the draft Environmental Assessment (EA) and draft Finding of No Significant Impact (FNSI) for the proposed action to decommission and dismantle the Deactivated Stationary Medium Power Model 1A Nuclear Power Plant (SM-1A) at U.S. Army Garrison Alaska, Fort Greely, and release the property for unrestricted use.
