Raystown Lake extends advance camping reservations to include spring and fall seasons

Published Sept. 6, 2019

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Raystown Lake will begin to offer advance campsite reservations at Seven Points for spring and fall starting with the spring 2020 camping season.  The maximum booking window of six months prior to arrival still applies, which means reservations for spring 2020 can begin as early as Nov. 3, 2019, for the April 3, 2020, opening spring season date.

In the past, sites were only available in advance from mid-May to Labor Day.

For the remainder of the fall 2019 season, campsites are available only on a first-come, first-served basis for the day of arrival and are not available to reserve in advance.  Anyone wishing to camp in Seven Points Campground may move onto any campsite that does not have camping equipment on it nor is displaying an active permit.  Payment can be made at Seven Points Entrance Station Friday through Monday from 12-4 p.m., or by using the honor system when the station is unattended.

Nancy’s Boat to Shore Campground and Susquehannock Campground already offer advance reservations for all open periods.

To make a reservation for any of Raystown Lake’s campsites or picnic shelters, visit www.recreation.gov or call 877-444-6777 and search for Raystown Lake or any of the specific recreation areas of interest.  Questions pertaining to camping facilities can be directed to the Raystown Lake office at 814-658-6809.
