The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, will close Ives Run Campground, the Ives Run camp store and the South Shore concessionaire from Oct. 31, 2020 to May 1, 2021, in conjunction with the end of the 2020 recreation season. Additionally, the Lambs Creek Recreation Area boat launch is closed until further notice due to low lake surface water elevations resulting from a lack in precipitation.

Boaters planning to use the lake are warned to be especially observant for potential underwater hazards that may be exposed due to lower lake levels. The Corps reminds boaters that life jackets are to be worn at all times when recreating on or near the lake.
Visitors may continue to use the Tioga-Hammond and Cowanesque trails, which remain open year-round. Day-use comfort stations will also remain open, including Ives Run Recreation Area, Stephenhouse and Tioga-Hammond Dam, Connecting Channel and the Cowanesque Lake, and North Tailrace.

Hunting is permitted per the Pennsylvania Game Commission hunting season dates and regulations and fishing is permitted following Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission regulations.

For questions or concerns, the Ives Run Visitor Information Center will remain open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., when staffing permits. Masks will be required upon entry. To reach the Ives Run Visitor Information Center by phone, please call 570-835-5281. America the Beautiful passes can be obtained at www.usgs.gov.

The public is encouraged to monitor the Tioga-Hammond and Cowanesque website and Facebook page for the most up-to-date information.
