Nancy’s Boat-to-Shore Campground

Accessible only by boat, Nancy’s Boat-to-Shore Campground offers a remote camping experience like no other.  Nancy’s is located halfway on the lake between marker 15 and 16 on the western shore.  The Campground is nestled among mature trees and opens up to a sunny grass covered slope near the shoreline.  In addition to a beautiful location, Nancy’s offers:

● No showers ● Level to gentle slope
● Unimproved sites

Open year-round.  Nancy’s camp is open 12 months a year, but access may be limited due to ice or other weather conditions. Reservation season is from early April to late October each year. During the non-reservation season, Nancy's Camp is free of charge to camp.

No showers.  There are no showers located at Nancy’s Camp, however Nancy’s campers have free access to the showers located at Seven Points Beach Shower  House located near marker nine.

Unimproved sites.  Sites do not have a defined living area and sizes may vary.  Each site is identified by a post and includes a picnic table and fire ring.

Make a reservation online at www.recreation.gov or call (877)444-6777 to speak to an operator.  Site availability is updated as reservations are made. 

Campers should not set up camp until you have made a reservation. Rangers patrol daily to check reservations.

Reservation season for Nancy's Camp is early April to late October each year. During the non-reservation season, Nancy's Camp is free of charge.

Golden Age/Access or America The Beautiful Senior/Access discounts are applicable to campsite fees, type in your card number when making a reservation or give the reservation operator your card number over the phone.

To make your camping trip hassle free, here are a few tips that will help you plan a truly enjoyable vacation.

Need a brochure, band-aid or answer?  Park Rangers patrol Nancy's and launches regularly and are available to assist you!

  • Most Nancy’s campers prefer to launch from James Creek public boat launch for its close proximity to Nancy’s and ample parking . To locate James Creek boat launch and other launches, access the lake map here.
  • Want to camp at Nancy’s, but still have a hot shower?  Nancy’s campers can access the Seven Points Beach shower house with just a 20 minute boat ride.
  • Lake rules, news and events are posted for your convenience at the Restroom bulletin board.
  • Due to the remote location, emergency response can take up to 30 minutes to reach Nancy’s Camp.  Please think and recreate safely!
  • Please do not set up camp until a reservation is made online at www.recreation.gov or by calling (877)444-6777.
