Susquehannock Camp Site

Susquehannock Campground is located near the north-central area of the lake near mile marker seven.  Classified as a primitive campground, Susquehannock is a great place to get away from it all and still be within short driving distance of civilization.

Campers must check in at the Susquehannock Entrance Station before occupying a campsite.  Operating hours vary depending upon the season.  If the Entrance Station is closed upon your arrival please follow the procedures posted on the station window.

A convenient pull-up window allows campers to register without ever leaving the driver's seat.

Campers should be prepared to provide their registration number and name to the attendant.

Visitors wishing to visit a registered camper will need to check-in at the Entrance Station to receive a Visitor's Pass.

At check-in, campers receive vehicle and site permits granting access into the campground, a copy of our campground rules and a trash bag. Normally check-in only takes 5 minutes, but at peak times (weekends and holidays) campers should be prepared for longer lines and limited space at the Entrance Station parking lot.

To make your camping trip hassle free here are a few tips that will help you plan a truly enjoyable vacation.

  • To guarantee a campsite, make a reservation.

  • Due to terrain and vegetation, many sites cannot accommodate larger trailers or RVs.  Specific site information regarding size, shade, proximity to water and other amenities is available at the reservation website.

  • Parking can be tight and not all sites can accommodate more than one vehicle. Encourage carpooling or plan ahead to park in an overflow area.

  • Want to camp in Susquehannock, but still have a hot shower?  Susquehannock campers have free access to the Seven Points beach change house showers just a 15 minute drive away.

  • For the latest lake news and events grab a copy of Currents, our weekly newsletter available at check-in or the Visitor Center.
