2021 Events

Seven Points and Tatman Run beaches are open for the 2021 recreation season. 

FRIDAYS– 9 AM -12 PM (Memorial Day to Labor Day)

Beginner Kayaking Lessons- Join us at Seven Points Beach any time between 9 AM– 12 PM for FREE beginner kayaking lessons led by volunteer Mary Jo. If you have your own boat, paddles and lifejackets, please bring them along (limited quantities available to borrow on first come, first served basis). Sessions are open to individuals of all ages!

 

SATURDAYS– 9 AM -10 AM (Memorial Day to Labor Day)

Yoga at the Lake! Join us on Saturdays for FREE yoga sessions guided by Tracy Lake - RYT-200. These outdoor yoga session will take place outside the Seven Points Amphitheater on Saturdays. Individuals of all experience levels and body types are welcome to attend these adaptive, body-gentle sessions! Please bring your own yoga mat or towel.

 

SUNDAYS– 10:30 -11:30 AM (Memorial Day to Labor Day)

Chaplains in the Parks Church Service- Join us on Sunday Mornings at 10:30 AM at the Seven Points Amphitheater for a non-denominational Christian service led by Pennsylvania Council of Churches chaplain Amanda Morningstar.

SUNDAYS– 7 PM -8:30 PM (Memorial Day to Labor Day)

Raystown Revival Worship Service– Join us at the Raystown Lake amphitheater on most Sundays at 7 PM for Raystown Revival! Live contemporary Christian worship, a faith-building message and life-changing prayer led by Pastor Greg Lloyd. Limited seating is available, but please bring your favorite lawn chair and/or a blanket.

The Three Tales of the Big Bad Wolf– Huntingdon Dance Academy presents the Three Tales of the Big Bad Wolf, a ballet in 3 acts. Show starts at 6 PM at the Seven Points Amphitheater. Free to the public!

Standing Stone Trail and the Thousand Steps Presentation- Join us at the Seven Points Amphitheater for a presentation by Standing Stone Trail Club President George Conrad about the nearby Thousand Steps section of the Standing Stone Trail. The presentation covers the history of the steps, information about them today, and challenges for the future.

PA Black Bear- Join the PA Game Commission as they talk about the beautiful black bear. Get to know the life cycle and the problems associated when our biggest omnivore comes in contact with humans!

National Get Outdoors Bird Watching Paddle Tour- Join a Park Ranger Alicia on this boating and birding adventure. We will meet & launch from Aitch Boat Launch. Participants need to be experienced swimmers and bring their own kayak or canoe, U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket (properly fitting and serviceable), and paddles. Above the Radar (Band)- This Southern Rock Band from Blacklog, Pennsylvania joins us again this summer at Raystown and is ready put on a SHOW! Come out and welcome them!

Tree ID Hike with a Ranger– There’s no better way to celebrate national “Hike with a Geek Day” than learning how to ID native trees with Park Ranger Kline! Join us for this short, informative hike on the Hillside Nature Trail in Seven Points. We’ll meet at the Visitor Center at 6:00 PM!

Glow Swim- Come out and enjoy the 9th annual Raystown Lake Glow Swim. This event takes place at Seven Points beach after hours, in the dark! Learn about the importance of water safety and have the chance to cool off with an evening swim!

Chris Westfall Concert- Chris Westfall returns to the Seven Points Amphitheater to serenade the Raystown mountains with folk rock classics & original songs. This accomplished singer always delivers an excellent show!

Full Moon Paddle- Join Park Ranger Jenna for a full moon paddle at Snyder’s Run Boat Launch. Expect to be out on the water for two hours. Project Raystown: Diving Deep into the History of the Old Dam Program- Take a deep dive into history and learn about the origins of Raystown Lake! A group of local SCUBA divers will discuss their efforts to research the construction and operation of the Old Raystown Dam, as well as recount their experiences diving the submerged structure.

REBOOT (Band)- REBOOT is a local group of high energy musicians bringing a one of a kind experience to Raystown Lake for yet another year. Performing modern rock, classic rock, southern rock and country, REBOOT is sure to be a hit. See you there!

Buckskin Whiskey (Band)-  Join us in welcoming Buckskin Whiskey to the Seven Points amphitheater stage for the first time! Distilled from south Central Pennsylvania, Buckskin Whiskey continues the tradition of Southern Rock and Outlaw Country. Formed in 2019, the band has grown into a six-piece powerhouse with soaring guitars, strong vocals and a fanbase that stretches well beyond the borders of it’s home state.

Chalk the Walk- Join us at the Seven Points Beach for the 9th annual Chalk the Walk. Participants of all ages are encouraged to compete for cash and prizes for the best chalk drawn water safety message. Registration will be open from 11 AM to 6 PM and judging will be from 6 PM to 7 PM.
