Public Notices Overview

A Public Notice is prepared as the primary method of advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought and of soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable beneficial and detrimental impacts on the public interest.  Public notices are only prepared for projects determined to exceed minimal individual or cumulative adverse environmental effects and that may be contrary to the public interest.

Submitting Comments:

To send email comments to the respective Project Manager, click on the Project Manager's name below, or contact the Regulatory Branch, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, 2 Hopkins Plaza., Baltimore, MD 21201. Comments made in reference to a Public Notice should include your name, address, and phone number. Please be sure to include the Public Notice Number or the Application Number on all correspondence to the District.

    All Interested Parties: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District (USACE-Baltimore) is in the process of updating the Master Plan for the Indian Rock Dam Project (IRD) located in York County, Pennsylvania. USACE is preparing an environmental assessment (EA) in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, as amended, to assess the impact of the Master Plan Revision to the human and natural environment.

    All Interested Parties: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District (USACE-Baltimore) is in the process of updating the Master Plan for the Whitney Point Lake Project (WPL) located on the Otselic River in Broome County, New York. USACE is preparing an environmental assessment (EA) in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, as amended, to assess the impact of the Master Plan Revision to the human and natural environment.

    All Interested Parties: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District (USACE-Baltimore) is in the process of updating the Master Plan for the East Sidney Lake Project (ESL) located on Ouleout Creek in Delaware County, N.Y. USACE is preparing an environmental assessment (EA) in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, as amended, to assess the impact of the Master Plan Revision to the human and natural environment.

  • PN 18-64 (UMCES - HORN POINT CAMPUS OYSTER REEFS) 2018-61751 Dorchester County, Maryland

    Expiration date: 12/19/2018

    PN 18-64 Comment period November 19, 2018 to December 18, 2018. Description: The applicant proposes to install one new 262.5-foot-long by 3-foot-wide breakwater oyster castle reef extending 190-feet channelward of the mean high water (MHW) shoreline; and to retrofit five existing, dilapidated infrastructures with pre-seeded oyster castles, creating five more oyster reefs in Lake Cove.
