U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Announces Public Comment Period and Meeting Regarding Former Media Nike Missile Battery (PH75/78) Control Area Proposed Plan

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has released its Proposed Plan for the former Media Nike Missile Battery (PH75/78) Control Area in Willistown Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. The Proposed Plan recommends No Further Action at the Formerly Used Defense Site.

The Corps is inviting the public to attend a public information session to learn more about the document and to provide feedback regarding the recommendation of No Further Action. The public information session will be:

When: Thursday, October 27, from 6-8 p.m.
Where: Willistown Township Office located at 688 Sugartown Road, Malvern, PA 19355

The public is encouraged to review the Proposed Plan and submit comments. The Proposed Plan is available with other project document at the Paoli Public Library (18 Darby Road, Paoli, PA 19301) and can also be accessed online at: www.nab.usace.army.mil/FUDS-Notices 


A public comment period will run from Oct. 17 – Nov. 25, 2016.  Written comments can be sent to the following mailing address: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, ATTN: Hamid Rafiee, Rm. 10040-K, 10 South Howard St., Baltimore, Md.  21201; or by e-mail to: Hamid.Rafiee@usace.army.mil no later than Nov. 25, 2016.  Mailed letters must be postmarked by Nov. 25, 2016.
