Jennings Randolph Lake announces Labor Day activities

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Jennings Randolph Lake, in partnership with the Friends of Jennings Randolph Lake, announces a variety of free activities planned for this Labor Day weekend including a raptor educational program and family movie night.

The Friends of Jennings Randolph Lake are sponsoring a Raptor Program by the West Virginia Raptor Rehabilitation Center (WVRRC) on Sat., Sept. 5 in the Robert W. Craig Campground Pavilion at 11 a.m. 

WVRRC is a non-profit organization which helps injured and orphaned raptors, which are birds of prey.  Their mission is to rehabilitate the birds and return them to their natural environment.  During the presentations there will be live birds of prey and educational information about how they live in their environment.

There will also be a family movie presented by the ranger staff on Sunday, Sept. 6 at 8:30 p.m. in the Robert W. Craig campground amphitheater.
