Public Notices Overview

A Public Notice is prepared as the primary method of advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought and of soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable beneficial and detrimental impacts on the public interest.  Public notices are only prepared for projects determined to exceed minimal individual or cumulative adverse environmental effects and that may be contrary to the public interest.

To send email comments to the respective Project Manager, click on the Project Manager's name below, or contact the Regulatory Branch, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, 2 Hopkins Plaza., Baltimore, MD 21201. Comments made in reference to a Public Notice should include your name, address, and phone number. Please be sure to include the Public Notice Number or the Application Number on all correspondence to the District.

    Comment Period: November 2, 2023 to December 2, 2023. Description: To replace an existing 480-square-feet geo-grid boat ramp with a 55’ x 22’ (1,210-square-feet) concrete boat ramp; to install a 73’ x 6’ (438-square- feet) floating pier, a 15’ x 5’ (75-square-feet) floating kayak launch, and a 15’ x 7’ (105- square-feet) concrete abutment to latch the floating pier to land.   • PN 19-15 NAB-2018-61632 (Wicomico Recreation And Park – Riverside Boat Ramp) Wicomico County, Maryland

    Expiration date: 3/21/2019

    PN 19-15 Comment period is March 7, 2019 to March 21, 2019 Description: The applicant proposes to reconstruct an existing 2-lane boat ramp and associated structures to allow for handicap access. The work would be completed through the construction of a 77.4 foot long by 43.9 foot wide boat ramp with wingwalls, resulting in the discharge of 340 cubic yards of dredged and/or fill below the mean high water line, and a 60.2 foot long by 8 foot wide floating pier with steel guide pile, extending a maximum of 56.9 feet channelward of the mean high water line.
