Walking and inspecting the levee
The Baltimore District team of engineers walks the entire 14,000 feet of the Moorefield levee to examine its structural integrity. Anomalies that could require remediation include animal burrows, worn areas, slope failure, evidence of water seepage and vegetation too close to the toe of the levee.
