STEM event shows off different career fields
Jeanne Judd, chief of the Technical Support Group from Baltimore District’s Real Property Services Field Office, test dials a cell phone inside a boxed rigged by students to block cell signals to see if it rings as part of an activity she hosted at the Easy as Pi student outreach program hosted by the Baltimore Chapter of the Society of Military Engineers in downtown Baltimore Wednesday, March 30. Judd represented the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, one of several agencies and contractors with work in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) that participated in the event, and talked to students about the design and construction of facilities for the military and other customers served by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. While the phone rang, the students eventually were able to rig their box so that there was no signal inside it and phones placed inside would not ring when called. (U.S. Army Photo by Chris Gardner)
