The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, has closed Raystown Lake's Mountain Bike Skills Park for the winter season. The Skills Park is scheduled to reopen in April 2021 for the start of the new recreation season.

The scheduled closure helps maintain the park's tread for future accessible and safe use and also provides time to conduct maintenance repairs, as needed.

In addition, the Friends of Raystown Lake has announced that the entire Allegrippis Trail System will be closed to all bicycle and other non-foot traffic during Pennsylvania deer rifle season, Nov. 28 - Dec. 12. The Allegrippis Trails System is scheduled to reopen Sunday, Dec. 13.
