The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, will be closing the Raystown Lake's Mountain Bike Skills Park for the winter season on Nov. 26, 2021. The Skills Park is scheduled to reopen in April 2022 for the start of the new recreation season.

The scheduled closure helps maintain the park's tread for future accessible and safe use during periods of inclement weather over the winter months and provides time to conduct maintenance repairs as needed.

In addition, the Friends of Raystown Lake has announced that the entire Allegrippis Trail System will be closed to all bicycle and other non-foot traffic for safety purposes during Pennsylvania deer rifle season, Nov. 26 – Dec. 11. The Allegrippis Trail System is scheduled to reopen Sunday, Dec. 12, 2021.
