TIOGA, Pa. -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Baltimore District, is now accepting proposals for a five-year concession lease at the Tioga-Hammond Lakes Ives Run Recreation Area. Proposals will be accepted through Thursday, May 1, 2025.
The lease covers the operation of the Ives Run camp store, campground laundry facility, and the option to offer kayak rentals.
The commercial concession falls within Ives Run Recreation Area and Campground, a nationally recognized revenue-generating campground. In the 2024 recreation season, the site generated $618,799.00 in revenue and had approximately 233,425 visitors. Ives Run Campground averages an occupancy rate of 70 percent, serving 16,000 registered campers annually with safe, enjoyable, and family-friendly outdoor experiences.
“Ives Run Recreation Area and Campground is an extremely popular recreation spot during the summer months whether visitors come for the day or stay overnight in the campground," said Stephen Sporer, Tioga-Hammond and Cowanesque Lakes, supervisory park ranger. "It is essential that we find a concessionaire who can not only meet the needs of our visitors but enhance their experiences.”
The site may be inspected by prospective offerors Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., excluding federal holidays. Appointments must be scheduled 24 hours in advance.
