Published June 12, 2014

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Jennings Randolph Lake and the Friends of Jennings Randolph Lake invite volunteers to take part in the fourth annual lakeside cleanup scheduled for Saturday, June 21 at 10 a.m.

Volunteers should arrive at the Howell Run Boat Launch located off of WV Rt. 46 for a safety briefing and instructions. Volunteers are also encouraged to bring their boats to allow for a quicker and more efficient cleanup process. Clean-up will last approximately three hours.

The Friends of Jennings Randolph Lake will sponsor a cookout at the gazebo located in the Howell Run Picnic Area for volunteers who come out and show their support for the lake.

Due to the rocky shoreline, proper footwear and appropriate clothing are recommended. Life jackets are also recommended and will be provided. Trash bags and gloves will also be provided.

All interested volunteers should contact park ranger Bill Donnellan at (304) 355-2346 or by e-mail at bill.m.donnellan@usace.army.mil to receive additional information.
