  • Corps, MDE host public information forum on Harris Creek Oyster Restoration

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District (Corps) and the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) are holding a public information forum about the Harris Creek Oyster Restoration project at Easton High School on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013 from 6-9 p.m. The Maryland Department of Natural Resources proposed the project. If inclement weather occurs, the meeting will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 19 at the same time and location. Easton High School is located at 723 Mecklenburg Avenue, Easton, Md.
  • Corps of Engineers releases Native Oyster Restoration Master Plan

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in partnership with the State of Maryland and the Commonwealth of Virginia, along with their shared partners, has finalized the Native Oyster Restoration Master Plan. The master plan outlines the Corps’ strategy for large-scale oyster restoration throughout the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries.
