RAYSTOWN LAKE, Pennsylvania -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Raystown Lake announces the opening of areas to Canada goose hunting from Dec. 16, 2019, to Jan. 18, 2020: Seven Points Beach and Boat Launch Areas, Aitch Recreation Area, Tatman Run Beach and the Weaver Falls Recreation Area. Portions of these areas will be closed, except for the purpose of hunting Canada geese.
All aforementioned areas will also reopen from Jan. 31 – Feb. 22, 2020 for the purpose of hunting Canada Geese.
There is no off-season maintenance on these roadways; vehicle operators will be traveling at their own risk. The Corps may close or choose not to open these areas based on a number of factors including inclement weather, road conditions, or other special activities.
The Corps will post signs designating hunting and restricted zones within these areas. Hunters participating in hunting activities at Raystown Lake must strictly adhere to these zones as well as all Pennsylvania Game Commission regulations, applicable U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service regulations and any other special regulations posted by the Corps.
