Waldorf W-44 Nike Missile Battery groundwater public meeting

PUBLIC NOTICE AND MEETING

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is proposing to clean up groundwater at the former Waldorf W-44 Nike Missile Battery Site, Formerly Used Defense Site in Charles County, Md.  It is important to remember that groundwater is not a source of drinking water in the area. 

The Corps of Engineers invites the community to attend a public meeting to learn more about the site and proposed cleanup plan:

When: Wednesday, Sept. 18, from 5-7:30 p.m.

Where: Waldorf West Branch Library, Waldorf, MD, 20603

You are encouraged to review the project documents in the public record and submit comments on the Final Proposed Remedial Action Plan. The documents are available at the P.D. Brown Memorial Branch Library and online at www.nab.usace.army.mil/Missions/Environmental/FormerlyUsedDefenseSites/WaldorfNikeMissileSite.aspx
