Public Notices Overview

A Public Notice is prepared as the primary method of advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought and of soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable beneficial and detrimental impacts on the public interest.  Public notices are only prepared for projects determined to exceed minimal individual or cumulative adverse environmental effects and that may be contrary to the public interest.

Comments made in reference to a Public Notice should include your name, address, and phone number.     PN16-38 - Comment period is June 17, 2016 to July 2, 2016 Description: The purpose of this public notice is to maintenance dredge by hydraulic method an approximate 2.29-acre area of Peters Creek, including a portion of the adjacent Susquehanna River, to provide a minimum depth of four feet of water for boat access to the marina. The resulting approximately 9,000 cubic yards of dredged silt material is to be deposited by hydraulic means in an upland (non-wetland) disposal area. The project is located in in Peters Creek and the Susquehanna River, at the Peach Bottom Marina Recreation Facility located at 1798 Slate Hill Road, Drumore and Fulton Townships, Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
