U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announce change in hunting and fishing zones at Jennings Randolph Lake

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Baltimore District, announces changes to designated hunting zones on Corps-managed lands surrounding Jennings Randolph Lake, MD and WV, effective 03 September 2025.

These changes are part of an ongoing effort to enhance public safety, improve wildlife management, and support sustainable recreational use of USACE lands.

Key Changes Include:

·         Opening of new designated archery only hunting to include a 100-yard buffer.

·         Opening of stilling basin behind the dam for fishing access.

All hunters must adhere to the updated maps and regulations, which are available on the Jennings Randolph Lake website.

Reminder: All individuals hunting on USACE property are required to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local hunting laws and must obtain the appropriate licenses and permits.
