  • Raystown Lake to Participate in Operation Dry Water Campaign, July 2-4

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) will participate in the annual Operation Dry Water campaign July 2 – 4, 2021, in partnership with the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PAFBC) as part of a nationally coordinated effort to educate boaters about the dangers of boating while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The mission of Operation Dry Water is to reduce the number of alcohol and drug-related incidents and fatalities on the water.
  • Poplar Island Ecosystem Restoration Expansion Complete, Open to accept Dredge Material

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, completed construction of the Poplar Island Ecosystem Restoration Project lateral expansion Jan. 20, 2021, providing 575 additional acres, including four new wetland cells and one large upland cell. The project is now able to accept dredged material associated with the approach channels to the Port of Baltimore until around 2032.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Jennings Randolph Lake announces a variety of activities planned for the Labor Day weekend 2013. Activities include interpretive programs, intake control tower tours, and a Craft Day Program, all of which are free and open to the public.
  • Corps, local partners host rescue demonstration at Hammond Lake

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Tioga-Hammond and Cowanesque Lakes invites the public to attend a water rescue demonstration on the Hammond Lake near the swimming area at Ives Run Recreation Area on Saturday, August 31 at 11 a.m.
