    Army Corps, Maryland Port Administration sign agreement moving Chesapeake island restoration forward

    The agreement allows for final design to begin on restoring two islands in the mid-Chesapeake Bay that have experienced significant erosion over the past several decades. This work will bring tremendous environmental benefits, while ensuring that channels leading to and from the Port of Baltimore are maintained for decades to come by creating capacity for the placement of dredged material.
