Ives Run Recreation Area

Ives Run Recreation Area is one of the primary recreation areas within the Tioga-Hammond Project. Located along the shoreline of Hammond Lake, Ives Run offers a balance of outdoor recreation opportunities within a managed federal flood-control landscape.

The recreation area includes:

  • A campground with electric and non-electric sites
  • Modern comfort stations
  • Picnic areas and pavilions
  • Hiking and walking trails
  • Water access for boating and fishing
  • Seasonal recreational amenities and programs

Ives Run is designed to support camping, day-use recreation, and nature-based activities while maintaining safety and protecting natural resources. As with all USACE-managed lands, recreational use is subject to seasonal conditions, operational requirements, and federal regulations.

Visitors are encouraged to plan ahead, follow posted rules, and respect closures or restrictions that may be necessary for safety or project operations.
